The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are located in Babylon. The king of Babylon is thinking about calling it Iraq in the future. Babylon is located in the middle of the Tigris and Euphrates River. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are located on the east bank of the Euphrates River. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon is also south of one of the future cities, Baghdad.




Transportation to and Around Ancient Babylon


There aren’t many seating areas in Babylon, so you would want to get your seat quickly. When you are on any transportation vehicle the men always sit in the front and the women always sit in the back. If you have a family or are a couple you have an exception and are allowed to sit together. You can take a boat if you are coming from the south. You can take a boat along the Tigris or Euphrates River. If you are coming from the east, or south east, you can take the Nile River, walk or ride through Jerusalem, and then take the Euphrates River south to Babylon. If you are coming from the north you can take the Tigris or Euphrates River and go south. Also if you are coming from the west or southwest you can sail through the Persian Gulf, and then sail north up the Tigris River.
