THE HANGING GARDENS OF BABYLON

The Laws and Customs of Ancient Babylon

Babylonians believe that Shamash, The Sun God, was their god of law and justice. The people of Babylon started to use law codes, such as The Code of Hammurabi, and The Code of Eshnunna.  Since the Babylonians are very illiterate, most or perhaps all of their laws were written on a stone tablet. Babylonians believed that Jews brought evil spirits to their villages, but now that law has changed, and Jews are no longer held captivated.
